About ScaneReport

A cloud platform for daily reporting from construction crews and field teams.

What it is

ScaneReport replaces paper logs and Excel spreadsheets for crews on construction sites. A foreman records date, site, work type, volume, headcount and photos from a phone — managers see an aggregated table across all crews with filters by site, period and worker. Excel export in two clicks.

It runs as a Progressive Web App (PWA): installs on phones without App Store / Google Play, works offline for browsing; on desktops it's just a website.

Who's behind it

ScaneReport is built and maintained by a single developer — no outside investors, no agency, no data resale. That's a deliberate choice: a small team means fast bug fixes, personal support over Telegram, and full control over what happens to your data.

How it works under the hood

SQLite with SQLCipher AES-256 encryption — even if someone steals the file, without the key it's an unreadable binary blob.
Passwords stored as bcrypt hashes (12 rounds). Plain text passwords are not stored anywhere.
Web Push notifications (VAPID) — managers get realtime push for new reports and exports.
Two-factor auth (TOTP) in profile — compatible with Google Authenticator, 1Password, Authy.
Audit log — every important action (login, report deletion, export) is logged.
GDPR-aligned — download all your data or fully delete your account anytime from profile.
